Oh people of Karbala

Ye khuda ke bando me, Muntakhab khuda wale

Takhte innama waale, haye karbala walon

From all of mankind, these particular peoples

They are the crown jewels of all mankind – oh people of karbala

Chote chote bachon ne, jang ki ijazat li

Margaye jawan banker, haye karbala walon

Even children asked for permission to give their lives in jihad

They were killed before they even matured – oh people of karbala

Koyi tumhe Asgher ka, koyi tumhe Akber ka,

Koyi sani e Zahra, haye karbala walon

One was Asghar, one was Akbar

One was the son of Zahra – oh people of Karbala
